ADVICE AND GUIDANCE
As part of our support for local food Producers and market Managers we have produced a a series of articles in the form of 'toolkits' from starting up a market or food business, to marketing your business plus guidance on food hygeine to help you build up your business.
These toolkits are split between Market Managers and Producersand are divided into the following sections:-
THE WEB SITE
Over the years the Kent Farmers Market web site has become the 'one stop shop' for Market Managers, Producers and local food customers.
Last year over 80,000 readers viewed our web site searching for local Farmers Markets and Producers. Members have their own web page descibing their business linking back to their own web and social media sites.
We have now added more local Producer Directories to the site with the aim of both supplying local food and drink consumers a more comprehesive knowledge base as to where to find different types of local food producers and outlets. We have also changed the name to EatDrinkLocal
Everyone listed on the site is welcome to join our Facebook Support Network group
SUPPLIERS CATALOGUE
We have also used our joint buying power to persuade Suppliers to offer our Members discounts and better terms from Market insurance to gazebos.See Suppliers Catalogue
EATDRINKLOCAL MAGAZINE
We also publish our own magazine 'EatDrinkLocal' which is aimed to promote Producers amnd Local Food Outlets to both existing and potential customers and explains the economic, health and environmental benefits of eating and drinking local produce.
Your membership enables you to become part of a network comprising hundreds of like-minded businesses and thousands of customers who love to find local, fresh foods and drink in the 'Garden of England'
